Complementing the Government’s Creative Partnership and Life Related Learning programmes, the concept of EdutainTV is quite simply to allow children to fully participate in the making of their own TV show where they can be involved in all facets of the production process including set design, filming, acting, scriptwriting, storyboarding, editing and of course a starring role! All children have creative talents and through our various EdutainTV programmes, we want to ensure that they have the opportunity to develop them. Theatre, film, music and other art forms can be life changing for young people, broadening their horizons and raising self-confidence and aspirations. Active learning is learning which engages and challenges children’s thinking using real life and imaginary situations and stimulating their interest through performance participation as well as encouraging them to create their own work.

Our Song and Video Workshop has been devised so that children can get hands-on experience of the creative industries including film and music making as well as offering them the chance to take part in a musical performance and ultimately their very own pop video. All under our expert guidance and tuition.

The day is split up into various workshops where we encourage both group and individual performance and participation. The format of the day is further detailed on the Programmes page of this website but the end result is perhaps best demonstrated by viewing our promotional DVD.

“Edutain TV is an excellent opportunity for children to learn in a cross curricular way about media productions. The children had great fun producing their own song and DVD, led expertly by professionals who clearly knew how to work with children and get the best from them. I can thoroughly recommend this project and say with confidence that all children will gain hugely from it. A well organised day, well thought-through and very rewarding for all involved. Learning can be fun!”
